A sensor -A sensor uses some method to convert some physical property, into an electrical signal ( or, a change in resistance or inductance, etc. ),- e. g. your average in-road traffic counting buried loop is one example of a sensor ( it senses the magnetic field change when a magnetisable vehicle passes over it - I know about how these loops work ) ;- e.g. the tiny camera that detects when you are viewing your mobile phone screen ( NOT necessarily the front camera ), is another type of sensor ;a compass needle is another type ( it senses a magnetic field ) ;

A transducer -A transducer is a device ( to be possibly further updated later )

that converts one type of 'signal' into another - i. e. could ‘convert’ from one type of physical activity or property into another ( including electrical, chemical, and movement / pressure, etc. ) ;

A transmitter -A transmitter is any device ( most usually meaning a radio transmitter ), that emits a signal of some sort, converted ( usually from an electrical signal ), and sent 'out' into some 'medium' ( usually a radio signal is emitted into the 'ether' or space, by a radio transmitter ) ;other types of transmitter may seem to be 'like' a transducer, but there is subtle difference between the two, and possibly one may be a subset of the other.
